On our return from a Virginia trip in May05, we decided we ought to swing into D.C. to stand on the highest point in the "51st State." It seemed odd that the high point was the entire berm of the reservoir at Fort Reno. But, we did our "NOT!!!" summit shots (shown here) and stuck thThe official highest elevation was designated with a nifty brass marker-disk last year and ceremoniously dedicated last April as reported in the latest Highpointers Club Newsletter.
