U.S TRI-POINT UPDATES:
#1 of 4 AZ08 en route corners

Traveling west on I-44, bagging 3Pt #19 is a no-brainer. In MO, go north at Exit 1, Rt166N. In a blink you'll come to a new round-about that will waft you CCW. Go 3/4 around (or 270deg) to the entrance of the "Downstream Casino Resort." Immediately past the casino portal, turn left on a rustic, broken paved road, leading .1 mile to the site. The obvious 12ft tall stone cairn on the right informs you that you're there. Since Jack's '91 visit, formal, engraved plaques within a metal railing now mark the true KS/MO/OK tri-corner.

The addition of the casino cuts Jack's final .3mi access in half. Perhaps, someday, this newly reported rustic access will be improved making this 3Pt a more popular "need-to-see" spot. Ah, tri-pointing.... Also, just a tad north in Galena, you'll find US66, the world's most famous highway.

This location is so sad now: Tons of graffiti, the roadway is considerably eroded away, etc. Do we have any way of contacting some entity to pursue a renovation of this meaningful location?
